Members provide a meal for mourners after a funeral of a resident parishioner. This group reaches out to meet the immediate needs of a family after the funeral. This service is especially appreciated by relatives and friends who live out of town and must return home after the service. At this time of greatest need for sympathy and understanding, we reach out to life the burden of a fellow parishioner and show we care. We provide a few happy moments to replace the sad.
Volunteers are needed to share responsibilities for this service; to provide food, to set up, to serve, and to clean up. Since the time of death is unplanned for most people, this group may only get a few days advance notice. Also the amount of food needed is in proportion to the number of people expected at the hall.
