One of the most important parts of the Roman Catholic Church is the parish. The reason for this is because the parish impacts parishioners’ lives and your lives impact the parish. It is in the parish setting that personal faith finds communal support and community benefits from one’s faith journey. It is in the parish that we receive God's very life and grace through the Sacraments.
Together, at St. Francis of Assisi, we receive the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist and listen to the Word of God proclaimed. Here, sins are forgiven and we are reconciled to God in Confession. Here, in community, life's most significant passages take on eternal significance: the birth of a child in faith through Baptism, the gifts imparted through Confirmation, the love of a man and a woman in Marriage, the discovery of a supernatural calling of a vocation to the Priesthood and/or Religious Life, the miracle of healing in the Anointing of the Sick, and the passing of a loved one in Christian Burial.
St. Francis of Assisi provides opportunities for education, formation, and preparation for all of the Sacraments as well as the reception of all of the Sacraments except Holy Orders.
